For a period of 1987 through 1991, as I moved from one residence to another, I received postcards from a mystery lady named Madame X and her irate husband.
Actually, they were sent by my hilarious friend, comedian Mike Donovan.
Though my addresses changed, Donovan managed to find me and sent me these postcards in the mail. I rummaged through a box of old stuff and found them recently. Can't believe I still have them. Still absolutely hilarious.
"Dan, How could you be so indiscreet? My husband is on to us. He suspects everything, you bloody fool! Sex always, Mrs. X"
"Dan - He knows about the Flamingo! Why haven't you called?!! - Madame X
"I found out from security that you and my wife spent several nights at the Flamingo. Is there no end to your savage lust? She denied it of course. Why I still love her I'll never know. X before Spencer (smiley face)/ after Spencer (frown face)"
"Homewrecker, You'd fly to Atlanta just to ruin my marriage? You barbaric knave. I spoiled your little Southern rendezvous. She was surprised to see me waiting in Room 069 instead of you. Heathens will perish! Mr. X"
