The National Comedy Center

If you should ever find yourself in Jamestown, NY - the birthplace of Lucille Ball, 75 miles south of Buffalo, at the southeastern end of Chautauqua Lake - drop in on the wonderful National Comedy Center.

The interactive displays, which include giant touchscreens, are super impressive. You can reenact classic comedy moments against a green screen and put yourself in the scene. You can play trivia and perform comedy karaoke. You can read digitized versions of classic comedy films and television shows while watching the scenes enacted. The technology and interactivity are great fun.

The only bad part is the location - the middle of nowhere. But if you’re in the heart of downtown Jamestown, you can’t miss it. Truly worth a visit.

And while you’re there, check out the Lucy and Desi Museum as well as the Lucy statues (the ugly old one and the much better newer one).
